1. Is this a subscription service?

Yes. There are no contracts so you can cancel anytime. 

 

2. Does it really work? 

The formula is powerful prescription formula  and we have seen it work many of our patients in our clinic. However, the content and images on this page are not a guarantee of individual results. Individual results may vary. The information provided is for general information and educations purposes only and does not replace a need for a formal consultation. To get started on the topical medication, a consultation with a physician is required.   

 

3. Can I cancel anytime?

4. If I am not from California, can I order a bottle?

No. We are licensed only in CA, so we can only legally serve patients in the state of California. Sorry.

6. How do I start a subscription?

You can do so via online consultation on HealthLens, by clicking here. Be sure to include pictures!
Dr. Behnam will look over your consultation and if you are a good candidate, his staff will collect payment info and get your started.
If you’d prefer to see him in person in the Santa Monica area you can do that too, you can schedule an appointment by calling 310-315-4989.
 

7. How long do I have to do the topical?

Patients typically see results in 3 to 6 months. Once you start, you have to continue it as long as you want to see the results. In other words, once you stop, the hair improvement will dissipate and the hair loss will begin again. 

 

8. Will my hair loss get worse if I were to stop the medication?

No. Your hair will go back to where it would have been if you never took the topical medication. You will not end up with worse hair than before.  

 

9. What are the active ingredients? 

There are 3 active ingredients. Finasteride, Minoxidil, and Retinoic Acid. This formula is customized for you in a monthly basis. 

 

10.  Is this a prescription formula?

Yes. You have to see one of our physicians to get a prescription. 

 

11. In what instances I can’t use the formula?

If your significant other is planning to get pregnant, is pregnant or breastfeeding, please refrain from using this product. Also, do not use this product if you have any allergic reactions or adverse events to finasteride, minoxidil or retinoic acid (aka tretinoin). Finally, do not use this product if you have infant, newborns or toddlers. 

 

12. What are the side effects?

Just like any other drug, finasteride, minoxidil and retinoic acid have side effects. Topical use of these medications have lower side effects compared to their oral versions. Some of the side effects are sexual side effects associated with it, such as decrease libido, erectile dysfunction, testicular pain, impotence, gynecomastia (breast enlargement), depression, fogginess of the head, chest pain, rapid heartbeat, faintness, dizziness, sudden unexplained weight gain, scalp irritation, scalp redness, unwanted facial hair growth, allergic reaction or difficulty breathing,  initial hair loss, sun sensitivity, among others. 13. I have side effects, what do I do?

14. Can I still develop sexual side effects while on the topical finasteride?

Studies have shown that topical finasteride has similar, therapeutic hair-growing effects as oral finasteride while minimizing the sexual side effects. Although the less of side effects are lower, they can still happen. Please contact us if there are any questions. 

 

16. Do I need a consultation with the doctor to get the prescription?

Yes. The consultation is performed remotely.

⊕Doctor will evaluate your past history, current medical history, medications, allergies, and photos. If you are a candidate, he will prescribe the medication for you. Only after that, your credit card on file will be charged and a bottle will be shipped to you. 
 

17. I want to have a formal in office consultation with Dr. Behnam. Can I do that?

Yes. You can come in a a one to one consultation with Dr. Behnam. Please realize that there is a fee for the consultation in person. Dr. Behnam also accepts insurance, please call the office to inquire if we accept your insurance. Office phone number is 310-315-4989.
